In 1990 My husband Terry told me that he was waiting for his new dog, a boxer bitch.
Even when I was growing up with my 2 brothers and 6 sisters, we  always had dogs,
but I was not that fond of them.
But Terry had had dogs all his life. So he was looking forward to getting her.

We finally went and picked up our girl 'Tara' Shaylor Just a Rythmn in 1991 from Denem Kennels in Auckland.

Around  1995 we thought we would like breed from her , so with the guidence of Colin Bradley
and Paul Henry of 'Denem Kennels' we had our first litter.

We kept a son 'Hadley' Denem Midnight Rythmn from Tara's second litter , in 1997, that was when
we then embarked onto the show scene with the help of the 'Denem Boyz'.  We showed Hadley for 2 years.
He loved the show ring, he was not a big winner but in those early days he did enough to keep us keen with this hobby,
and at the end of the day we took the best Boxer home with us.

Paris 'NZ CH Flyn'n French Filly came to us in 1999. A lovely Brindle girl.
At this time we decided to move to a bigger place.

More room which meant more dogs, so along came 'Shaka' Denem Shakermaker. Sadly after 2 years and 5 CC's ,
and 2 best of Group wins he was rehomed. He just did not like it on the show scene
and it was best for him to find a great family to live with. Thank- you to Pam and Owen who spoil him Rotten.

It was about this time we became MAVQUADE BOXERS, everyone asks us what does it mean , and it is literally our childrens initials

Melissa,Alesha, Vincent Quinton,And Damian and an E ,so that it sounded ok.

In 2002   'Courage'  NZ CH Denem Courage Undre Fire joined our family along with Ella and Skie.
What a fantastic addition for our kennels.   His  Daughter  Ruby was born 2003, Dam Denem Highland Fling.

Her show career started off slowly, but in the hands of Colin it was a joy to see her move around the ring,
as she had and still has great presence, now retired .

In 2006  'Ruby' being campaigned by Colin Bradley , became NZ GR CH ZMontalk Dundee Lass At Mavquade.
Our biggest thrill of this year was capped off with Ruby winning Reserve In Show at our NZKC National Dog show.

Terry and I would like to thank all the NZ Judges and the the Judges from overseas who have awarded  her CC's ,
Groups and In show awards.
